The Essentials of a Wedding Ceremony Program

Wedding events are once in a lifetime event. It is something special, which will always be remembered not only by the bride and the groom, but also their wedding guests. Everything must be done in order to make it more memorable. One of the effective ways to make the event more special and worth remembering is to make plan well for a wedding ceremony program. Wedding programs provide a record of the wedding ceremony and also create an atmosphere and a sense of belongingness among the wedding guests. Wedding programs provide the guests a wonderful keepsake. These wedding ceremony programs show the order of the entire wedding event, the complete list of songs played during the entire  wedding event, names of the people who have played significant roles during the wedding, and expressing gratitude to all who have witnessed the union of the husband and the bride.

In certain ceremonies, wedding programs are necessary such as in the case of religious or traditional weddings whose guests come from different cultures and have different faith from that of the couples to be wed. Wedding programs are also recommended for big wedding events wherein a large number of guests are invited since these guests are least likely to have an idea regarding the bridal party. In longer wedding ceremonies, wedding programs are also essential. In cases in which both the bride and the groom have a lot of people to thank to, it is best if they plan on having a wedding program. For couples who lack the money and the time to have such programs, they can choose not to have to. However, couples should keep in mind that wedding programs need not to be that expensive and time consuming. A simple wedding program can be planned beforehand to make the event more successful.

When planning for a wedding ceremony program, designs you may choose from include preprinted papers, scrolls, single cards, mini folders with envelopes, etc. The design must perfectly match other wedding designs in terms of the texture, whether formal or informal, font styles and embellishments. Among the many elements, which should be included in the wedding ceremony program, include the complete names of the bride and the groom, name of the celebrant, date, time and place of the wedding event, order of ceremony, song titles, and names of the artists, as well as the name of the wedding party. Optional details, which may also be included in the wedding ceremony program, are the lyrics of each song and hymns of praise, with the composers.

Wedding ceremony programs should also include expressions of gratitude to the people who participated in the wedding ceremony including the hosts and helpers of the reception, as well as the family members and friends who have been part of special services on the day of the wedding. Reminiscing deceased family member or friend can also be included in the wedding ceremony program. It is one way to make the event more special. The couple may also choose to include explanations for each rituals which have been part of the wedding ceremony especially if it involves traditional wedding rites which are not common to most of the wedding guests. Great ways to finish wedding ceremony programs are to include short poems or quotes about love and marriage.
