For many years, people practice giving gifts to future wives weeks or even days before their wedding. This custom is known as bridal shower. It is a gift-giving party which is common in countries such as the United States, Canada and in Australia. According to some sociologists, the ritual of bridal shower allows women to socialize into hyper-feminized traditional wife role.
